Sensory worlds

Esther Tschudin is fascinated by objects made of wire and paper. She loves the challenge of the third dimension, playing with the all-round view. Her works are delicate and rich in detail, but can also appear angular and bulky - a lively mixture that demonstrates her artistic range. This results in entire sensory worlds and small, unfolding stories: sometimes serious and characterised by experiences, sometimes aesthetically inspired by nature or humorous as a reaction to the surroundings.

Her daily walks in nature, the flood of news and encounters with different people feed her imagination and inspire her again and again. It is as if she is processing a wave of inspiration - a mirror of her thoughts and feelings. Her aim is to sharpen her focus, discover new things and appreciate the small things.

She carefully shapes each sheet by hand using wire and pliers. Each beetle is freely designed, the surfaces often covered with paper and painted - every detail bears her signature.
