Rolf Blöchlinger creates impressive figures from a wide variety of woods from logs around two metres long and 10 to 30 cm in diameter. The natural characteristics of the wood and the creativity of the carver combine to create a unique work of art. Simple sketches or spontaneous ideas serve as inspiration and templates. Rolf Blöchlinger is a trained wood sculptor and carpenter. In his workshop in the old Aenderdorf village in Brienz am See, he has been carving endearing, cheerful and witty sculptures for over 25 years.
